Rudy Keith 15-D B-Btry, 1/32nd FA 12/83 -07/85
I just did the 2 years for college program. I was stationed @ Fliergerhorst Kaserne near Erlensee, W. Germany. Met a lot of good people over there, worked real hard and did my duty. Only got to go to Crete (04/84) for one live fire, but that was amazing!

Mark Laugisch here; did some time in 2 warhead detachments, 84th USAFAD '81-'83, 83rd USAFAD '89-'92, had a great tour in the "Crying Shame"('85-'88) Crailshiem C Btry 2/42 FA and even did a sint as an instructor at the LANCE branch. Drop me a line if you know me or just want to shoot the $hit; I would really like to know how my fellow "little sisters of the poor" from the detachments are doing. Take care and live strong.

Hi Bill
I was a 15D20 stationed mostly at Alpha Btry 3/79 FA in Giessen, Germany. I got there in late Dec 79 and PCS in May of 83. Spent my last seven months as an AIT instructor at the Lance Branch at Fort Sill.
Had a great time serving in Alpha Btry. Ended up as section chief of second firing platoon.
Would certainly enjoy hearing from any other " Hard Chargers " out there.

This is Great!!! I have thought a lot about the old people that I served with over the years, and wondered what they are doing today. I recognize several people in the photos section, as I was at Camp Pieri from 85-86. Here is my info:
Fort Sill Basic Training 1983 - July 6 through November 2/12 FA S4 Driver (MOS was full) 6/33 FA (Don't remember which battery)
Camp Pieri 1/333 FA Jan 1985 through April 1986
I was launched into 8 inch land after basic, deactivated the 2/12 and then off to 6/33 to work in my MOS. I was there a very short time when I went TDY to Wiesbaden, or Dotzheim, or Shaamengraben, or wherever I was (Camp Pieri), and had an awesome time there. There was a lot of Red Army Faction terrorist stuff going on while I was there, so there were many long days and nights walking fence lines ... there were even a few who didn't make it home alive (RIP Ed Pimental).
Would love to hear from people who were in around my time ... and if I have forgotten your name you'll just have to forgive me. Some of the people I remember from Camp Pieri are:
SP4 Sanders SP4 Gerald Oakley Top Perry (I heard he was booted for sticking his leather boot in the fat rear end of that fat 2nd louie?) PFC Makinen Sgt Steven Balske (my track sgt) PFC Williams (female) SSgt Perez (my platoon sgt) PFC Thompson PFC David Gilleland PFC Mark Vierow PFC Shawn Klien PFC (emcee) Everett Ricks (my room dog)
I can see many more faces, but just don't remember names. I remember the Fsgt of Bravo battery, and if he saw you walking around with hair anywhere near your ears, he would take you for a free hair cut ... high and tight only, and he would pay for it. I received one free haircut in this manner while at the Triple Tre!! Lover Wiesbaden, Loved Europe, Had a great time ... would love to do it again. I really miss these days some times.
I now live in Oregon with my awesome wife and my dog micro (Rhodesian Ridgeback / Boxer mix). We are planning to have kids soon, but nothing cooking just yet.

I'm Jesse L.Ritter SFC.Ret. Looked at this message board and noticed you mentioned Top Perry. I had him as a 1Sgt in C-2/377 FA. He's passed on now and buried at the new cematary in Elgin OK. with his wife. I live just north of Lawton in Cyril Oklahoma. I spent most of my oversea's at the 69th FAAD and the 2/377 and the redesignated as 2/12 FA. Stateside duties at the 1/12 FA then the 13th FA Fort Stewart and tasking NCO for 17th FA Bde. I'm glad to see sites like this one to bring the Bud's back in contact after all we did for our country and each other...........
